OrthoScan, the market leader in mini c-arm imaging, introduces FD Pulse — the first and only mini c-arm with pulsed fluoroscopy. FD Pulse provides dose reduction with state-of-the-art image quality. The square-shaped CMOS flat detector provides the greatest field of view, enabling the user to see more anatomy. This flat detector design and compact form factor allows optimal positioning in the surgical environment. Surgical lights on the undersurface of the x-ray source reduce shadows by providing primary light in the surgical field, illuminating anatomical detail.
The advanced OrthoTouch™ user interface allows seamless operation of system controls while still allowing for keyboard functions. OrthoTouch™ provides a familiar experience — similar to a smartphone or tablet — that enhances interaction while viewing detailed anatomy.
With FD Pulse, the 24″ high resolution diagnostic widescreen monitor allows for a 20% larger viewing area. The 1920 x 1200 resolution provides exceptional image quality showing fine details of relevant anatomy and a wider viewing angle for increased visibility.
Moving from continuous fluoroscopy to a pulsed fluoroscopy of 30 pulses per second (pps), OrthoScan is able to reduce the dose without loss of image quality or detail. Selectable pulses per second — between 30, 15, 7.5, and 2 pps — allow the user to reduce the dose depending upon their imaging needs.
A larger detector provides the greatest field of view, enabling the user to see more anatomy. FD Pulse has the largest flat detector on a mini and the square shape negates the need for a rotating detector, increasing the reliability over time.
The OrthoScan mini c-arm design allows for an orbital rotation of 150°. This enables the user to take advantage of the larger field of view without making mechanical adjustments required by competitive equipment. The increased orbital movement enables preferred views without stressing anatomy.
Flat detectors provide increased image quality, improved reliability, a smaller footprint, and more efficient imaging when compared to older image intensifier technology. The FD Pulse utilizes the thinnest flat detector housing on the market, allowing the user to place the detector directly on the operating surface and leave the c-arm in the field to reduce OR time and decrease sterility risks.
Located on the bottom of the tube head, these surgical lights provide additional illumination on the anatomy and eliminate shadows cast from the C.
Conveniently located on each side of the tube head assembly, bilateral controls provide easy access to imaging and documentation in the sterile field.
